When a projectile of mass m is thrown with a velocity u at angle θ with the horizontal from the ground , its vertical displacement at an instant t second will be
y = u sinθ t - 1/2 g t ^2
Again , the horizontal displacement of the projectile at the same instant is
x = u cosθ t
∴ y = tanθ x - 1/2 g { x^2/ ( u^2 cos^2 θ) ; This is also the instantaneous height attained by the projectile..
Hence, the projecitle describes a parabolic trajectory....
◉ The horizontal component of velocity of the projectile remains constant...
