The 2021 BET Awards were hosted by Taraji P. Henson at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA on June 27, 2021. During the telecast, Lil Nas X took to the BET Awards stage to perform his latest number one single ‘MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)’, from his upcoming debut studio album ‘Montero’. The performance, much like the song’s music video, caused quite a bit of controversy.
