Join us as we load our 1989 Yamaha DT200R street legal dual sport dirt bike into the back of our 2017 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Pickup Truck. We show you how to load, and strap tie down a bike solo - alone - by your self... no help from anyone. You get where we are coming from.

This is effective for any dirt bike, street bike, enduro, dual sport, adventure touring motorcycle.

We use a standard ATV Ramp and tie-down strap it to the hitch of the vehicle to keep it from sliding out when loading. Then we position out Motorcycle/Motocross Stand next to the ramp in a comfortable step spot from the ground to the stand and into the truck.

Next step we roll the bike up the ramp keeping our right finger on the front brake to stop the bike from rolling back. Once the bike is in the bed of the pickup truck (2017 Honda Ridgeline), use 2 good quality ratchet straps to tie-down the front of the bike making sure the shocks are compressed enough not to bounce straps loose and the bike is even/level in the bed. Then take a third ratchet strap and secure the back in. Once loaded, check for secure placement by wiggling the bike around and even take a short test drive to make sure the motorcycle/dirt bike/dual sport/street bike or adventure touring motorcycle will not come loose in transport.
