On May 10, 2023 Frank and Joe joined Captain Howard on the RV Emma May for a dive trip to the shipwreck Great Isaac out of Barnegat Inlet New Jersey.
The Great Isaac was a US Navy ocean going tug boat built in 1944. In 1947 it collided with the Norwegian freighter Bandeirante and sank in 90 feet of water.
Divers were surprised to see exceptional visibility underwater and an abundance of sea life which included large Blackfish, Black Sea Bass and lobster, but no Fluke yet. Unfortunately only Fluke were in season.
Several interesting brass and copper artifacts were retrieved from the wreck.
