DISCLAIMER: I am not a native speaker of provencal and do not have perfect pronunciation.

This poem was written by Frederic Mistral in the mid 1800s. He wrote it, suposedly, in part of an attempt to found a literature for the Provencale language and ensure its survival for the future generations. He without a doubt succeeded in the first goal and his works inspired the writings of others in the orthography that he preferred and won the Nobel Prize in literature. He mostly failed in his second goal as Provencale remains highly endangered today.
