So, for a long while, Spider-Man 2 was one of the only games that wasn't really TASable on dolphin for... some reason. I still don't know exactly what the reason was, but dolphin just kept getting regular updates and I assume the TASing issue was fixed without the devs even realizing just as a result of the emulation accuracy becoming better.

I had actually tried to TAS all the pizza missions many times before, but ran into those TASing bugs I mentioned every time. The only reason the 19:40 pizza% got done was because the sheer lack of rerecords meant the chance of desyncing was decreased since states weren't being loaded as often - which is a really long way of saying that TAS sucked. I think that one had like 2000 rerecords, where this TAS has almost ten times as many - though it didn't desync a single time and the one speed issue relating to this game is no longer prevalent, meaning the only frustrations in TASing dolphin now come from the game itself and not the emulator. Nice job, dolphin devs.

The any% TAS had like 17K rerecords, and this one - despite being a third as long - has almost 20K (19476 to be exact). I can confidently say this TAS took more work than the any% one. I also ate around 40 pizzas during the production of this TAS and actually ate the last pizza in my house right before I completed mission 20.

So I made a goal for myself to beat every single time I've ever gotten on the pizza missions in previous TAS attempts - which was really hard, because there are a lot of times I got 10 or so missions in and then stopped, getting better each time. I've finally made up for my original sin of the 2020 pizza% TAS and redeemed myself.
