Join our group as we embark on an exhilarating journey to the summit of Gannett Peak in Wyoming!

Our adventure began on July 3, 2024, at the Trail Lake Trailhead for the Glacier Trail. We hiked 14.5 miles to our first campsite, just north of Dinwoody Creek. On the second day, we covered another 10 miles to set up base camp between West and East Sentinel.

Day 3 started with a pre-dawn 4 a.m. departure to reach the summit of Gannett Peak, and we were thrilled to be on the summit by 10:30 a.m. The snow conditions were ideal, and all crevasses were closed this early in the season. By 1:45 p.m., we were back at base camp, took a quick 30-minute break to pack up, and began our trek out. We hiked 10 miles back to our night 1 campsite.

On day 4, we hit the trail at 7 a.m. and made it back to the trailhead by 3:30 p.m.

In total, we covered 55 miles on this unforgettable adventure.
