On September 7th, 2024, Alpaca Expeditions, in collaboration with the Tiaparo community, led a social project focused on the restoration and cleanup of a neglected section of the trail, located kilometers before the start of the Inca Trail. This effort included the recovery of areas of great cultural and historical significance, as part of a commitment to preserving the region's heritage.

In addition to the cleanup, important donations of essential tools such as picks and shovels, as well as basic supplies like rice, sugar, and other necessities, were made to support the community's work in this initiative. This project reflects a collective effort to conserve local history and improve the surrounding environment.
