One of the greatest offenses in NFL history, creating excitement and explosive plays year in and year out. The offense was created by the innovative coach Don Coryell, featuring an explosive vertical passing game and complimented by power running. Coryell found success at San Diego State and with the St. Louis Cardinals, but it was with the San Diego Chargers where his scheme took flight. The Chargers were the most explosive, most exciting offense in the NFL from 1978 to 1985. They were top 5 in yards every year and were top 4 in points five times.

The offense featured a tough QB Dan Fouts, powerful running from Chuck Muncie and a strong receiving corp of Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joiner, John Jefferson, and Wes Chandler. The offense helped the Chargers win a lot of games, and despite not winning a championship, the offense left its mark on the league. Coryell's scheme (along with Bill Walsh's) have carried over today and helped teams such as the 1990's Cowboys and the Greatest Show on Turf Rams find success.

Don Coryell finally got inducted into the Hall of Fame and joins Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow, and Charlie Joiner in Canton forever.
