Side story while descending, I spoke to a group of 50yo uncle & aunties from Penang and they asked me what’s my favourite Penang food. “Soya bean” I answered, immediately they gave collective gasps and asked if char kway teow was my next choice, I said “chenol?”. They were less shocked but clearly there’s a Penang local food priorities.

Summit 5.36am (still miss sun rise a lil)

Lunch n postcard (I think lunch is until 11? 11.30?)
Pack n must leave room by 10.30am or pay late charges.

1.5-2L up esp if u have water bladder and u r a camel
1 stick up, 2 stick down
Face mask summit
Puffer jacket porter for sleeping
Face towel (sweat)
Gloves for summit rope climbing
Jacket 1 good enough
Good grip boots
Head torch with beanie (unless u sweat like crazy like me)
Pocket or fanny pack for accessibility of phone
Disposable towel easier to wipe than wet wipes
Leave R&R bag at storage
