A driver's POV on a Hellenic Train InterCity service, crossing the eastern foothills of mount Olympous, between Macedonia and Thessaly. The 7 coaches consist is hauled by a Siemens "Hellas Sprinter" (ES64P). In this video, you can watch the full length travel from Katerini Station (Macedonia, Greece) to Evangelismos station (Thessaly, Greece), an 80km long distance.
This section of the main line was completed between 1997 and 2004.
This video was recorded during shooting for Hellenic Railways Organisation's (OSE) corporate video for 2024 Thessaloniki Interational Fair with special permission by Hellenic Train S.A.. Special thanks to Hellenic Train and the crew of the InterCity for helping complete the shooting.
