Today I am planting a Hydrangea in my yard. In this video I will explain how to choose a Hydrangea for this climate, plant it in the ground and care for it. Hydrangeas can be a beautiful addition to your yard, even in a zone 3 climate.
I will be planting a Hydrangea paniculata Lavalamp 'Candelabra" in this video. It is said to handle temperatures down to -40C, enjoys full to part sun conditions, and matures to 4-6' tall and wide. The blooms start out white and age to bright red. It also has beautiful red stems and bright green leaves that give it interest even when not blooming.
