Knitting Gloves project. Simple and easy way to knit gloves.

1) CAST on 48 stitches on double needles

2) Pattern → (Knit 1 , Purl 1)
Divide 48 stitches onto 4 needles (12, 12, 12, 12) and continue knitting for next 25 rows.

3) Yarn color change
• Attach light yellow color yarn
• Knit 2 rows(Row nos. 26, 27) pattern (Knit 1, Purl 1)
• Use attached brown color yarn
• Knit 1 row (Row nos. 28) pattern (Knit 1, Purl 1)
• Use attached light yellow color yarn
• Knit 2 rows(Row nos. 29, 30) pattern (Knit 1, Purl 1)
• Use attached brown color yarn
• Knit 1 row (Row nos. 31) pattern (Knit 1, Purl 1)

4) Increase 2 stitches. Total no of stitches 50.

5) From this point onwards, pattern changes for first 25 stitches and next 25 stitches.

Row 32,33,34 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitiches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Knit 5, Purl 5 alternate)
Row 35,36,37 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitiches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Purl 5, Knit 5 alternate)
Row 38,39,40 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitiches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Knit 5, Purl 5 alternate)
Row 41,42,43 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitiches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Purl 5, Knit 5 alternate)

6) Make provision for the thumb.
At this point, decide the right or left hand and accordingly follow the instructions.

Right Hand Glove
Row 44:
• Take next 5 stitches on a safety pin.
• On the pattern side cast on 5 more stitches
• Continue knitting row 44 (first 25 stitches – Knit all) and (next 25 stitches - Knit 5 Purl 5 )
Left Hand Glove
Row 44:
• After knit 20 stitches, take remaining 5 stitches on safety pin.
• Cast on 5 stitches more stitches
• Continue knitting pattern (First 25 stitches - Knit 5 Purl 5 ) and (Next 25 stitches – Knit all)


7) Continue
Row 45,46 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitiches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Purl 5, Knit 5 alternate)
Row 47,48,49 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Knit 5, Purl 5 alternate)
Row 50,51,52 : First 25 stitches pattern (Knit all) stitches
Next 25 stitches pattern ( Purl 5, Knit 5 alternate)

8) Pattern for fingers
Pointer Finger - Take 6 stitches for both sides and knit all (12) stitches for 25 to 30 rows.

Middle Finger - Take 7 stitches for both sides, pick up 2 extra stitches to join adjacent finger and knit all (16) stitches for 30 to 32 rows.

Ring Finger - Take 6 stitches for both sides, pick up 2 extra stitches to join adjacent finger and knit all (14) stitches for 25 to 30 rows.

Little Finger - Take 6 stitches for both sides, pick up 2 extra stitches to join adjacent finger and knit all (14) stitches for 20 to 35 rows.

9) Closing finger knitting
Knit 3 stitches together from both sides
Knit next 2 together to close all stitches.
Insert the remaining thread backwards and close.

10) Thumb Knitting
Transfer the 5 stitches from the safty pin on needle
Pick up more 6 to 7 stitches
Knit all 12 stitches for more 25 to 30 rows.
Close same as other fingers.
