അനന്തപുരിയുടെ സുവർണ തിലകമാണ് ശ്രീ പദ്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഭാരതത്തിലെ പുകൾപെറ്റ വൈഷ്ണവ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുടെ മുൻനിരയിൽ ചിരപുരാതനമായ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു. അനന്തശായിയായ ശ്രീ മഹാവിഷ്ണു കുടികൊള്ളുന്ന ഇവിടുത്തെ ശ്രീ കോവിലിന് മൂന്നു തിരുനടകളുണ്ട്. കർണാടകം സംഗീതത്തിന് അമൂല്യരത്‌നങ്ങൾ കാഴ്ചവെച്ച സ്വാതിതിരുനാളിന്റെ കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം ശ്രീപദ്മനാഭമുദ്ര പതിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് . ശ്രീ പദ്മനാഭ പാദങ്ങളിൽ പുതിയൊരു കീർത്തനം ; മധു ബാലകൃഷ്‍ണന്റെ സ്വരവന്ദനം !

Jaya Jaya Padmanabha ----- song is from the musical album Suvarna Pushpanjali. This song is sung by the wonderful singer, Madhu Balakrishnan, who needs no introduction. The great duo of T S Radhakrishnan ji and P C Aravindan Mashu have composed the music and written the lyrics respectively.

The Padmanabha Swamy temple is a marvel of devotion, submission, and preservation. The credit goes entirely to the Travancore Royal Family, who surrendered the Travancore Kingdom to the deity Lord Padmanabha and ever since then have served Travancore as ‘Dasas’ of the Lord. Currently, this is one of the richest religious places of worship in the world, largely due to the Travancore Royal Family’s unwavering faith in Lord Padmanabha and never ever misusing its wealth for their personal needs. This characteristic is so different from the many rulers, both ancient and modern, who have appeared quite at ease to use the wealth generated under their governance for their personal needs.
