28 years after my previous visit to the wonderful city of La Paz, Bolivia, I returned. It of course started with Altiplano exploration.

Following 36 hours of traveling, mishaps in Colombia, and underestimating the impact of the altitude thinking I'm in good health I made it into La Paz. Note to foreigners, take altitude sickness precautions and follow my mother's instructions, "Do nothing for the first few days." You will be impacted even if you don't feel that you are.

We waited for an excessive amount of time going through immigration and customs but I finally made it to my taxi and began exploring the city at 4AM on the way to the hotel.

My Spanish is abysmal because I couldn't think. At least that's the excuse I'm sticking to.
