Ornamentations (noun): 2. That in which the process of ornamenting is embodied; the ornaments which adorn a thing collectively; ornament in general
Or, in music, the grace notes that embellish a melodic line.

Thomas by Notforgotten Farm is available at katie-strachan.com/shop
The kit is $64 and includes the linen, silk satin backing, and all threads used as well as the beads and sequins used to embellish the tail. It does not include the chart, which you must provide. You can order the chart from your LNS or find it at Notforgotten Farm's Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/notforgotte...

The Britomart sampler will be coming in 2025 as a chart in full release, kit, and/or class. If you are interested in a kit or class, please add your name to the interest list here:https://katie-strachan.com/britomart-...

I used Modern Folk Embroidery's Open Hem tutorial - I purchased a booklet copy from the Attic but you can also get a PDF: https://www.modernfolkembroidery.com/...
And I used Londonderry Linen, 100/3 weight for the hemstitching - it's the historically accurate choice for hemstitching, but also looks wonderful.

The Elizabethan Valentine class is presently open for registration: katie-strachan.com/shop
Full details on the class can be found here: https://katie-strachan.com/elizabetha...
It is a 5 month, online class which began September 1, 2024, although it is strictly work at your own pace. The kit includes full spools of threads in filament silks and real silver thread, in an authentic 17th century palette, as well as everything you need to make the Elizabethan Valentine, with the exception of a frame to work it in. The options for a frame, as well as lacing your fabric and stitching with a frame will be fully covered in the course.

Jack's House by Stacy Nash is stitched on Legacy Linen 38 count Himalayan Fog (although I would recommend using 37 count Smoke Signal instead, it wasn't yet available when I started this piece)
100/3: 542, 543, 718
Gobelins: 2214, 4535, creme
Access Commodities' order forms are public downloads that can be used for inventory and to keep track of your threads, I highly recommend doing this: https://www.accesscommodities.com/dow...

Plum Street Samplers' Flag Thief is stitched on Legacy Linen 38 count Cloister Cream with an original silk conversion that will be exclusive to next year's kit

My October 12x12 ornament will be Chimney Soot Santa by Notforgotten Farm, on Legacy Linen 37 count Smoke Signal, conversion to come in the next episode
