Mr. Poirier is the founder of Argus Research Group, and creator of the ARG-TIIRI (Trauma Informed Incident Response and Interviewing) program - Link in bio. In April 2021, he became a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, where he was also awarded the Certification in Emergency Crisis Response (CECR - designation).
Through the Traumatology Institute, he has completed training in School Crisis Response (TITC-SCR), Community and Workplace Traumatologist (TITC-CWT), which includes certifications as an Early Intervention Field Traumatologist (TITC-FT), and a Compassion Fatigue & Resiliency Educator (TITC-CFE). He also completed training in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and MHFA for adults who interact with youth. He is a Certified PEACE Investigative Interviewer (CPII), as well as a Situation Awareness Specialist - Advanced Practitioner (SAS-AP)
He has led incident investigations, and provided consultations to operations staff, and ground crews in some of Ontario's largest and busiest rail corridors.
He has assisted with and helped coordinate various SIU Inquiries to help locate and interview witnesses regarding motor vehicle incidents, and violent physical altercations. Mr. Poirier has also investigated workplace incidents related to harassment, violence & intimidation, fraud, & misconduct.
