This is how I paint a realistic German Shepherd Dog with brown and black fur using the pastel technique. This Artwork was a commission for a client from USA. She ordered a portrait of her dog named Otis. The size of the portrait is around 35x50 cm and it’s made on Pastelmat Board using soft pastels, pastel sponges and pastel pencils.

If you’re interested in learning the techniques and skills I’ve shown in this video I have an online course available that teaches you step by step how to create a realistic animal portrait.
