After his grandfather died, he lived for two months alone until a person named (Gojo Satoru) came with his student (Fushiguro Megumi). Gojo met Itadori and offered him to become a demon slayer after Gojo was impressed by Itadori’s great physical strength when he saw him saving a woman from a huge thief in the middle of the night! Itadori has always believed in the existence of demons, curses, and these things, and he always loved to explore everything that was strange or out of nature, but he did not know about the existence of demon slayers. Gojo is a single demon slayer who does not like to show himself, and despite his great strength, which may be as strong as the Hashira, he loves... To work alone and train his students himself. Itadori agreed to Gojo's offer because there was nothing else for him to do and he felt lonely. Also, he would be able to fulfill his grandfather's will, who always asked him to save people. Itadori has met a demon called (Sukuna or Ryomen Sukuna) Sukuna was a super-powerful upper moon, but he was shunned by Kibutsuji Muzan, the king of demons, after Sukuna angered him! Muzan did not get rid of him because Sukuna was very strong and might need him in the future. Sukuna took over Itadori’s body with one of his unique techniques and made him A vessel for him so that Sukuna can reach Muzan and take all of his fingers, which contain Sukuna's full power, which Muzan took from him as punishment. Itadori's body was the only one that fit Sukuna and did not explode. Unlike the rest of Sukuna's previous experiments, everyone who became his vessel died within an hour of Sukuna taking possession of their bodies. After Gojo learned about this, he came up with an idea to get rid of Sukuna because he is dangerous and may become the second most powerful demon after Muzan. And the plan is
They were to kill Itadori after he collected all of Sukuna's fingers in order to kill Sukuna
With him. Itadori agreed to sacrifice himself even though it was a difficult choice....and so it begins

بعد ان مات جده عاش لمدة شهرين وحيدا حتى أتى شخص اسمه
( غوجو ساتورو ) ومعه تلميذه ( فوشيغورو ميغومي ) التقى غوجو ب ايتادوري وعرض عليه أن يصبح قاتل شياطين بعدما أعجب غوجو بقوة ايتادوري البدنية الكبيرة عندما رئاه ينقذ امرأة من لص ضخم بمنتصف الليل ! لا طالما كان ايتادوري يصدق بوجود الشياطين واللعنات وهذه الأشياء ودائما كان يحب ان يستكشف كل ما هو غريب او خارج عن الطبيعه لكن لم يكن يعرف بوجود قاتلي الشياطين! غوجو قاتل شياطين وحيد لا يحب إظهار نفسه ورغم قوته الكبيرة التي من الممكن أن تكون بقوة الهاشيرا الا انه يحب أن يعمل وحيدا ويدرب تلاميذه بنفسه! وافق ايتادوري على عرض غوجو لانه لم يكن هنالك شيء آخر ليفعله وكان يشعر بالوحدة وكما انه سيستطيع أن يحقق وصية جده التي كان يطلب منه أن ينقذ الناس دائما! مرت سنة وايتادوري يقاتل ويتدرب مع غوجو وباقي تلاميذه! حتى أتى يوم قد التقى ايتادوري بشيطان يسمى ب ( سوكونا او ريومن سوكونا ) سوكونا كان قمر علوي فائق القوة لكنه منبوذ من قبل كيبوتسوجي موزان ملك الشياطين بعدما قام سوكونا بأغضابه ! لم يتخلص منه موزان لأن سوكونا قوي جدا وربما سيحتاجه مستقبلا، استحوذ سوكونا على جسد ايتادوري بأحد تقنياته الفريدة
وجعله وعاء له ليستطيع سوكونا الوصول إلى موزان و اخذ جميع اصابعه التي تكمن فيها قوة سوكونا الكاملة التي أخذها منه موزان كعقاب له. كان جسد ايتادوري هو الوحيد الذي ناسب سوكونا ولم ينفجر . على عكس باقي تجارب سوكونا السابقة كان كل من يصبح وعاء له يموت بعد ساعة من استحواذ سوكونا على اجسادهم. بعدما عرف غوجو بالأمر استنتج فكرة ليتخلصو فيها من سوكونا لانه خطير وقد يصبح ثاني اقوى شيطان من بعد موزان . والخطة كانت أن يقتلو ايتادوري بعدما يجمع كافة أصابع سوكونا حتى يقتل سوكونا معه . وافق ايتادوري على التضحية بنفسه مع انه كان خيار صعب....وهكذا تبدأ مسيرة ايتادوري الحقيقة للقضاء على سوكونا الذي سيسبب له الكثير من المشاكل و المعاناة !
