Join us on our travel adventures around Spain! We leave Avila and head south to the beautiful Sierra de Gredos Regional Park, then onwards to Salamanca.

The Sierra de Gredos Regional Park is a protected natural area in Spain, covering 86,397 hectares encompassing the Sierra de Gredos mountain range. Our main activity for the day was the Circo de Gredos glacial cirque hike. This particular hike is located just two hours away from Madrid, and one hour from the city of Avila.

The hike has some of the most stunning views of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, the Laguna Grande de Gredos (or Great Lake) located at the bottom of the trail, and of course the Spanish ibex!

Afterwards we headed to the beautiful city of Salamanca! Our visit here included exploring the stunning Old City (a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site), as well as the main sites of Casa de las Conchas, La Clerecía, the Plaza Mayor, the Roman bridge of Salamanca, and (of course), The Old Cathedral and The New Cathedral of Salamanca.
