By the year 1559, Elizabeth had her household arranged down to a t. She knew what she wanted, and that involved replacing the catholic ladies that served her half sister, and replacing them with her cousins, and the daughters and wives of the men who served her. These women went onto be referred to as the ‘old flock of Hatfield’.
