“Virahotkanthita”-one who is disappointed and full of fear as she awaits her lover's return. She is separated with her lover and is yearning for a reunion. Being separated (viraha) from her lover, and that's what makes her UTKANTHITA ..she is not sure if he comes back or not. Her pain is more pathetic, it comes close to despair.
