Lagavulin 16 Year is an old favorite, but the price tag for this classic, smoky Islay, peated whisky has risen to more than $100, and it got me thinking about alternate bottles that can be bought for less. In this video, I discuss a couple of common, Lagavulin 16 alternatives as honorable mentions, and share my list of 5 peated whiskies I would recommend at less than the price of the Lagavulin 16.
