Today we talk about glazing. The glazing with oil colors.
I paint an apple from life in the video with a consolidated method that of course cannot be liquidated only with a painting session of an object, but which I begin to deal with by introducing it and beginning to talk about the way to approach a painting with this technique.
The painting is therefore divided into two distinct phases that see in the first in two different steps to create the painting in black and white and in the second the intervention in color by superimposing the lacquers that in transparency leave the underlying design intact which remains a safe guide for the colors that will be put in the next step.
At some point you will see the appearance of a tool that I need to rest my hand to paint which is this. It is a wrist rest made of a soft part that can be comfortably placed on the canvas if it is large-sized dry or its rod at the edge of the canvas and with this help in defining the features of the painting.
