As soon as he stepped down from office, Tatay Digong left a void in the hearts of millions of Filipinos.

Tributes and thanksgiving gatherings took place left and right. The most unforgettable one was probably the Salamat PRRD tribute concert held in Manila. It left us in tears.

Even to this day, you’d hear people say how deeply they miss the man. For us who had the privilege to constantly be at his breathing space, it has become a mission of a lifetime to forever honor Former President Rodrigo R. Duterte and remind him every single day how grateful we are to be served by a peculiar leader such as him.

So promises were made.

Once a year, we, his former and present aides and support staff will always have a reunion with him no matter how busy life gets. This year, we had the best time with our Beloved Boss in what turned out to be yet another unforgettable Team Building event in Dumaguete.

We had various themes for each night – The Great Gatsby, Hawaiian, and Barbie. Yours truly and my team of Barbie dancers won the championship for the dance competition. LOL. There was also a talent showdown joined by former and present security officers, PSGs, aides and support staff.

Everyone was also entertained by sultry singer Gigi de Lana and various performers. There was also a buffet of unlimited food and overflowing drinks.

One of the highlights of the said event was the giving of the Friends of R.O.D.Y. Plaques of Appreciation for those who had shown unwavering support to FPRRD throughout and after his term.

We also had the RODY Survivor Challenge where competitors took on
extreme challenges that tested their mettle and physical agility through raft making, flag making, spider web challenge and assembling a human bamboo tower.

It was helluva fun!

The most important thing for all of us, men and women behind the Best President Ever is seeing him having a great time. If masaya si Tatay Digong, masaya na rin kaming lahat.

For five days and four nights, we’ve shown him once again how special he is, and that we are just the epitome of one grateful nation that will be forever acknowledge his greatness and nobility as a leader.

Salamat sa lahat ng sumporta sa event na ito, lalong lalo na kay Tito Leo Rey Yanson who gave his 100% to FPRRD and who made this event possible.
