Painted in 1978 this still life originally done in oils is a step by step acrylic painting using Turner Gouache Acrylics.
There are 2 major women artists during the impressions period in the late 1800s. Berthe Morisot was married to Manet's brother and a leading artist of her time. This painting of "Cut Apple and Glass Pitcher" still life 6x8 is a perfect painting for the kitchen or painted larger for a dining room.
I think it is important to honor the female artist who are often overlooked. We would love to hear you comments on this subject and what has become one of my new favorite 'old dead artists' .
