Comedian Steve Zaragoza has a change of heart about his line of work after a recent hardship and decides to pursue a more fulfilling path in life. The idea of our jobs being fulfilling in a soulful way is a recent addition to our value system, in which we expect more from our careers than merely the ability to obtain money through our trade of labor or services. In fact, the expectation that jobs should cater as much to the needs of the worker is a similarly relatively new phenomenon. During the Industrial Revolution, factories needed to run all day meaning that employees during this era worked sometimes 16 hour days on average. Through the efforts of labor unions, and particularly Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford, the concept of a "week end" was originated leading to the 40-hour work week and the work/life balance.
