Hello, Kitchen Stories subscribers. Today, we’d like to share the story of Mrs. Kim Chun-ja, who is preparing to move.

Mrs. Kim originally lived in Cheonan but moved to Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province a year ago. She had high hopes of living close to her son’s family and taking care of her granddaughter Soyoon. However, contrary to her expectations, conflicts arose with her son’s family, and taking care of her granddaughter became difficult.

Mrs. Kim’s well-meaning actions out of love for her granddaughter caused friction with her daughter-in-law, deepening their conflict. Eventually, she decided to move back to Cheonan.

Now, Mrs. Kim enjoys spending time with her friends in Cheonan and sees her son’s family only occasionally. Listen to Mrs. Kim Chun-ja’s honest account of the challenges she faced living close to her family and why she decided to return to Cheonan.
