English subtitles available – Horner Rennbahn (race course) underground station, re-opened in May 2024 after construction work – Since May 6, 2024, trains run again here. Before that the station had been closed completely. It had undergone reconstruction. In the future trains of line U4 will go from here to Horner Geest. The route in the direction of Horner Geest is still under construction.
During daytime passengers have to change trains at Horner Rennbahn. From the new platform trains depart for Mümmelmannsberg or arrive from there. So far there are no electronic destination indicators at the new platform. Passengers can scan a QR code and view the destination times on their mobile device.
From the old platform trains run in the direction of city center and Niendorf or arrive from there. They reverse here and change the track on arrival or departure.
Late in the evening changing of trains is not necessary. Trains then run the entire way between Niendorf and Mümmelmannsberg.
One entrance at the new platform for trains to Mümmelmannsberg is located between the shopping mall and Washingtonallee.
In the middle of the old platform an additional entrance has been built at Rennbahnstraße, in order to facilitate changing over to the new platform. From here you can get directly to the western end of the new platform. So the old platform has now 3 entrances: at Bauerberg, at Rennbahnstraße and at the shopping mall.
