If you see the Charging not available pop up on your iphone you need to do these steps ASAP. Please do not hit the emergency override unless its a real emegerncy. This can bring a lot of problems to your iphone. It might charge at the moment but, later on it will not charge with the lighting cable. You need to make sure both you iphone charging cable and your charging port are dry.

Make sure you put your iphone somewhere where there is airflow so, it can dry. Leave to dry for up to 24 hour.
