Our circumstances do not define us, the Word of God does. And God said we are His children-- co-heirs with Christ. Jesus may have went through sufferings, but He came out victorious. And so we will be as well!

Whatever it is you maybe going through, don't lose sight of who you are. You are not forsaken, you are chosen - you are who God says you are!
