Across Russia, for several decades, villages are rapidly dying out. But, perhaps, nowhere is this more visible than in Tver Oblast. Mitya Aleshkovskiy and I went to the depth of Tver to see the abandoned villages with our own eyes, talk with their last inhabitants and try to understand why the Russian village is disappearing.
