A third transplanting line has been installed at Ambroses to include automatic trailer loading.
Compost supply to all three lines is provided by two vertical bale openers with integrated conveyor system.
Each line has an ND denester to dispense packs prior to being filled with an RT12 tray filler in each line. The latest RW32 transplanter has 36 fingers to provide an increase in output on 10 and 20 pack production. The SPID360 injection moulded plug trays provide a great medium sized plug and are sown on a Lambda seeding line.
Bespoke 4.5m x 2m trailers are loaded automatically before being towed to the growing area and unloaded with a fork. The trailers can be towed from either end and are double steer, making manoeuvrability excellent.
Finally the crop is watered and treated by boom irrigation.
