In late August 2023 investigators recovered multiple items of interest after searching the former Park City, Kansas, home of Dennis Rader, aka the BTK killer. Authorities now consider him a prime suspect in several unsolved cases, including the death of Cynthia Dawn Kinney.

For almost 20 years, a Kansas husband and father was suspected of murdering his wife, Vicki Wegerle, but the murderer was really the BTK killer.
