In this video we are installing a starlink network and upgrading to a Ubiquiti dream machine pro router, on an existing wired system.

The reason for the installation is, the customer has been running on an expensive, slow, point to point system for the past 10 years. The reason for choosing this was a lack of options due to the remote location of the house. BT could only offer 3Mbps at the time and the private point to point offered 10Mbps download and 3Mbps upload.
The private point to point option costs were £100 per month for the past 10 years.

This internet connection has been dropping in speed gradually over the years until they were receiving 3Mbps download and 0.5Mbps upload. The customer gave them plenty of opportunity to fix the issues or come up with another solution. They couldn't explain the drops in speed, didn't try to fix the issue or offer any other options, even though our customer had been loyal and paying a premium for the poor service for 10 years!
We were called when the internet had completely stopped working.

Our solution was to upgrade some of his hardware as it was dated and install the Starlink network. We believe, based on our experience, this is the best solution for anyone who has poor/unreliable internet connection via copper line, point to point, LTE, etc.

We started by testing and identifying cables, as we wanted to find a cable between the house and garage. We wanted to install the Starlink antenna on the garage as access was easier for installation and maintenance.
Luckily we found a suitable cat 6 cable to use and began removing as much unnessasary/unused clutter from the data cabinet.
Once the Antenna was installed on the garage, we installed the Starlink router, programed it and connected it to the network. We did a wireless test on the router to check it was functioning correctly and check the speed.
In the house, Once the data cabinet was a little clearer and the new ubiquity dream machine pro was installed, connected the new Starlink network and we programmed the router.
The new speeds we recorded were 140mbps download and 25Mbps upload, to which our customer was incredibly happy.
We went on to do to more work in the property further improving the wired and wireless network.
