Using the subway in Gwangju, Korea is a little bit different from Seoul since it does not accept T-Money cards that are commonly used in Seoul, Busan and even in Gyeongju.

But don't worry. All you need to do is to buy a chip, which costs 1,200won from the vending machines and use it like the T-Money - just tap and go.
