At the combined committee public hearing on the Jacki Rickert Medical Marijuana Act on Dec. 15, 2009, Jacki addresses then State Rep. Leah Vukmir, a nurse and Wisconsin's leading legislative opponent of medical cannabis, which has overwhelming public support in Wisconsin. Vukmir, currently a state senator, is vying for the GOP nomination to challenge US senator Tammy Baldwin, who met Jacki many times and unequivocally supports legal access to medical pot.
