This is an amateur video showing how I installed an oil cooler (Indian part number 2880668) on my 2019 Indian Springfield. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I have done a lot of work on my bike already. So, excuse me if I don't use the correct terminology from time to time. I made the video because of the lack of help on YouTube to install this cooler.

***A special note: in the video, I mentioned that I decided to install the oil filter first before putting on the oil cooler, thinking it would be easier.

However, as our viewer below explained, it would have been easier actually to wait until the oil cooler was installed before putting on the oil filter. The reason is because when bolting down the hoses with the flat plates to the oil filter adapter, you won't have the oil filter in the way while doing this.

UPDATE 4/6/2023: I've taken my bike out on a few hot days down here in south Texas (just north of Galveston) and so far it "seems" as though the cooler is helping with my engine temps. The hottest day so far was around 92 degrees. I don't seem to notice the heat like I did last summer. When the temps get to 100, that will tell me for sure if it was a good investment. I'll post again sometime in June to let you all know how it's going then.

UPDATE 7/20/2023: If you see the weather reports in south Houston, you'll notice that we've been faced with 100 degree temperatures for a while now! So, the question is, does the oil cooler help? Honestly, it "seems" to help in these high temps. But the fact is, it's so damn hot outside that I'm more focused on my body temperature in general than the engine heat. I just don't notice the engine heat right now because of this crazy oven I live in! Maybe that's because the oil cooler works?

Hopefully the video will help you out if you decide to install one on your bike!
