Nothing new here, there are lots of blob and leech patterns out there. Even this fly presumably. I have been having luck fishing these in this particular color pattern when finding Daphnia in a trouts stomach, but you can never go wrong with olive in many situations.

This fly uses Semperfli 15mm solid chenille and they have full line of colors and also some plush chenille which comes in the brighter colors and is even more perfect for the blob bodies with extra UV sparkles.

So order a few colors and test them out on your local waters as an attracter or imitating the Daphnia clumps on your local still water. I am using floating line, with an indicator, and adjusting the depth of the fly depending on where the fish are.
