“Back when I first came to Mumbai, I had no idea of the life that awaited me. A few days in, the reality hit me – I couldn’t even afford a decent shelter. I went from sleeping on pavements on some nights to trains and train stations on others. 

From there, I’ve worked tirelessly, fought with the industry, tried to prove a point and made my place in the industry. But now I know, I was just trying to escape what I felt on the inside. As a result, I’ve missed out on a lot in my life – family, friends, time with my daughter, health, and of course, love. 

Today, I’ve started making a conscious effort to change that. Right from spending more time with my daughter to trying out my hand at acting again with ‘Haddi’. There’s still a long way to go, but I’m getting there.”
