In this Blender Football Model Tutorial, you will learn how to model an American Football, apply an image texture for the football leather and add a decal to the surface of the football.

The modeling process will require a reference image to help shape the ball (made from a UV Sphere) using proportional editing with a sharp falloff. The Blender football model will be modeled using mirror modifiers, Subdivision surface modifiers, and even Solidify modifiers for the laces.

The image textures for the football leather can be found at gamestextures.com or textures.com. This football tutorial will show you how to change the color of the image texture in the shader node setup. Maybe this will become a prop that will be useful in your Blender Football Animation.

Be advised, this is NOT a Blender Soccer ball tutorial.
