I traveled by ferry from Tsuruga to Tomakomai.
The ferry is the "Lilac" of Shin Nihonkai Ferry Co.
I booked a "deluxe A" cabin for $220.
On the way, the ferry calls at Niigata and Akita.
The sailing schedule is as follows.
Departure from Tsuruga at 9:30 a.m. and arrival at Niigata at 9:30 p.m.
Departure from Niigata at 10:30 p.m. and arrival in Akita at 5:05 a.m. the next day
Departure from Akita at 6:15 am and arrival at Tomakomai at 4:45 pm
From the Sea of Japan to the Tsugaru Strait and then to the Pacific Ocean.
It was a romantic ferry trip.
