On May 27, 2022
– the Kanak Bar Indian Band hosted over 130 people to share a story about alternatives and options for building of new homes and infrastructure that is explicitly designed to handle extreme weather events which are now occurring in greater frequency, duration and intensity and that could also be utilized to renovate or retrofit current homes and businesses and supporting systems so that we can all be collectively be safe in our homes, communities and regions during extreme weather.
