What a week at one of my favorite events, Bicton, with Trendy doing her 3rd international and Shrimp stepping back up after his time off. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better time. started on the Thursday with Shrimp not wanted to do dressage, which lead to an average test for 30.9. Twinkle Toes really tried in the dressage, still lots to work for a 27.3 to lie in 5th after two days of dressage. The next day, I was finally able to do the horses justice and the both jumped out of there skins to both go clear. I then spent the next two hours keeping away from the scoreboard as I knew I was towards the higher end with Trendy but I wanted to focus on riding her well so I decided I didn't want to know where I sat. Shrimp was first out on the xc and made the course feel effortless, producing an easy clear being one of the fastest of the day! This then filled me with confidence and I was able to concentrate on Trendy. She warmed up well and I was still unaware as to where I sat on the leaderboard. As I approached the start box the announcer goes "entering the start box we have our current leader Ellie Fredericks" instantly the pressure sky rocketed and I began the panic. Luckily I was able to breath and put the pressure out of my mind so I could focus on riding a good round. The feeling of jumping the final question on course and galloping other the final fence and through the finish flags is really like no other and makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it!

A massive thank you to everyone involved in helping this season be such a success and now for some winter training before next season!
