We made our way down south from Negombo to Galle Fort, which is the old town of Galle. Once the headquarters for the Dutch ,and a trading port, Galle fort is a really compact area and can be easily explored on foot! You can easily spend a couple of days here, this place is the very definition
of slow travel! Or Galle Fort can be visited as a day trip from one of the nearby beach towns of Hikkaduwa, Welligama or Unawatuna.
