Something you didn’t know you needed…🎵
✨You should learn each element of a new piano piece in a particular order. ✨
The reason for this is that it keeps you from getting distracted with details when you don’t have a strong foundation laid.
Here’s the order in which you should learn a new piano piece:
✅Rhythms (they're the foundation of all music!)
✅Fingering
✅Notes
✅Phrasing
✅Pedaling
✅Tempo
Of course, some of these things you learn at almost the same time (like fingering and notes), but this is a helpful guide to keep you focused on the right aspect of the piece.
👉 If you learn your pieces in THIS order, you’ll be learning repertoire faster than you thought possible!
