How well do alfalfa pellets work as a soil amendment or pre-plant fertilizer in a backyard garden? Should you be using alfalfa pellets for fertilizer in your gardening regime? We're putting them to the test and comparing them to our other no-till and composted garden plots. Join us as we apply 80 lbs of alfalfa pellets to one of our garden plots as we get it ready for spring.

We'll also be checking on our greenhouse seedlings and getting some more of our seeds started. Our determinate tomatoes and eggplant will be next, along with a few indeterminate tomato varieties that wouldn't fit in the first tray we started.
