One way to mount a TO-3 type device to a heat sink (or board) so that the device is electrically isolated from the heat sink, but thermally connected.

MATERIALS
- TO-3 device
- Mounting kit (insulator, 2 nuts, 2 bolts, 1 solder tab, 1 lock washer, 2 screw insulators - "shoulder washers) (Contents can vary.)
- Heat sink compound
