Governor Jay Nixon has signed into law Senate Bill 141 (2015), which passed unanimously out of both chambers of the Missouri legislature. It doubles from $200 to $400 the amount crime victims can receive in a week for victims who have suffered physical or psychological injury. It goes toward what the state terms "reasonable" medical and counseling expenses as and lost wages if the victim was employed when the crime occurred.
