So I still had to speed it up a bit to fit the whole video, but I’m hoping it’s still slow enough where you can pick up some ideas or tips.

Prints of these are available now in my shop rivkawilkins.com 😊

• I use quick dry oil paints for these. You really have to play with consistency. Every color has a different consistency and they don’t spread in the same way, so getting to know your paints is important. Some may need a little linseed oil, but too much and you’ll blend too much.

• The base is still wet when I apply the white. You can use a variety of brushes to apply the white. I encourage you to play with different ones, they will change the look you get.

• I use the @princetonbrush 2” ASPEN MOTTLER • FLAT to gently swipe the white up. Make sure to wipe off the brush in between strokes and don’t get too heavy handed.

• I then use @princetonbrush select artiste OVAL MOP • Select Wave Synthetic brush and a smaller mop brush to smooth out and add smaller details.

• The trees are harder to explain, but I’ll try my best. Hands down @princetonbrush mini fan brush 20/0 is the best and only brush I use. But you need to buy a few of them to find the right fit.

• lightly tap at different angles (side, front, side, angled up and down) to get different looks. It’s not a one size fits all technique and you really need to practice to understand how to get the right look.

I hope this was helpful and that it wasn’t annoying to have a split up video. ❤️ unfortunately posting it this way does cut off a lot of the video. I will post the full version on my YouTube channel.
